Rob Turner

Outspoken Cycles

Cambridge born and bred, Rob has always had a passion for cycling. Commuting to primary school on a yellow Moulton “Stowaway” he successfully defended the slow bicycle trophy in the top two years of Juniors.
Cycle trade experience started at 14, working on repairs and sales at the weekends and then summer jobs through university. Eight years in the chemical industry established a love of touring and commuter cycling particularly in the Yorkshire Moors.
Back to Cambridge to run Ben Hayward Cycles for 32 years, expanding then closing in 2017 a wonderful, fulfilling yet ultimately frustrating time.
After a foray into the mobility industry, he just could not keep away from bicycles, and is now enjoying the challenge of setting up a family cycle orientated, cargo, urban and junior bike shop at Outspoken Cycles.
