The Strawberry Community Cycle Event 2022

Histon and Impington Recreation Ground

The Strawberry 50 is back this year and will take place on Sunday 4th September.

Established in 2015, the Strawberry community cycle event has become a successful mass participation sporting event with nearly 800 people taking part in 2017. The sportive is a fun and relaxed way to enjoy cycling along southwest Cambridgeshire country roads and is open to cyclists of all standards. Participants range from young adults to veterans, from occasional cyclists to keen club riders. Everyone cycles at their speed or with friends and family.

Choose 1 of 4 different routes: 55 miles; 28 miles; or shorter routes of 14 miles and 7 miles. The courses are well signposted and have food and drink available to buy on the way round, offering a chance to rest and socialise.

As in previous years, the routes start and finish from Histon and Impington Recreation Ground (CB24 9LU). The start time for the routes is 9/9:30 am for the 55 and 28-mile routes and 10-11 am for the 7 and 14-mile routes.

The 7 and 14-mile routes are perfect for families as they are short and avoid any major roads. The routes are also well signposted as well as having support from the organisers.
