There will be family activities including the Junkyard Orchestra, arts and outdoor games – plus tours and talks explaining the environmental features and ecology work. The day will feature over 20 attractions showcasing the new district including hands-on activities, live music, tours and talks, and a street food market and licensed bar.
Visitors can travel to Open Eddington for free using the U bus service which runs from the train station through the city centre and on to Eddington.
Activities run from 10am to 4pm, some tours and talks require booking in advance.
