‘Lock it and Log it’ Bike Safety Event

Cambridge Station

Join Camcycle and other members of the Cambridge Community Safety Partnership Cycle Crime Prevention Group for free bike marking and cycle safety advice.

Camcycle has joined with Cambridge City Council, Cambridgeshire Police, Greater Anglia and other local organisations in a campaign to Save Our Cycles. We want cyclists across the county to make sure they register their frame numbers online and always lock their cycles securely. Poor quality of locks and locking techniques make cycles more vulnerable to theft and, once stolen, the lack of identifiable information to prove a crime often prevents the police from being able to connect stolen cycles with their owners or to take action against thieves.

On Thursday 22 September, we’ll be holding a Bike Safety Event outside the Cyclepoint cycle park at Cambridge station from 2-6pm. Come along for free bike marking and safety advice – find out how to find your frame number, the most secure ways to lock your cycle, and how to log your cycle’s details online with Bike Register.
