CamcycleQuest winners announced

The CamcycleQuest prize draw was conducted at the Cargo Carnival on Saturday with five lucky winners awarded generous prize packs.

The winners of the inaugural quest were drawn by Janine Collier from CamcycleQuest sponsor Tees Law and Jamie McAlley from Electric Bike Sales who donated the first prize of a cargo bike e-conversion valued at £900. A number of names were drawn, however, the correct answer of “5,865” had to be provided and a few entrants with the incorrect answer were disqualified before the prize-winners were confirmed. Each of the winners received a prize pack with a range of gifts including cycling accessories and vouchers for family activities.

Janine Collier, Executive Partner at Tees, said “It’s amazing that we’ve been able support this kind of project in our local community. We all live and work in the area, so naturally would like it to be a healthy place to live with a good sense of wellbeing and reduced levels of air pollution. It’s also been good to support getting people out on their bikes and exercising – I did the quest with my family on one of the hottest afternoons of the year and the kids had great fun.”

The winners of the 2019 CamcycleQuest were:

• Hebe Darwin (whose package included the £900 cargo bike e-conversion)
• Archie Allebon
• Yasmin Emerson
• Roy Cross
• Rachel Allebon

Prize winner Rachel Allebon said “We had lots of fun doing the competition and it was lovely to find some parts of Cambridge that we had never cycled through before.”.
